Visited at least 10x's over the years and each time I do really enjoy the shrimp. It's nicely coated with whatever you decide to have as the flavor, family owned and ran, always seems super clean, staff is very nice and attentive. Number one reason I've decided to give 5 stars is for the simple fact that the shrimp is never over cooked. It's a hit or miss at most restaurants even really established ones (to get rubber and texture shrimp) never here.

I've been watching Deadliest Catch again the past few weeks and have been having a craving for crab. I have been looking for a local place to get my crab fix since Joe's Crab Shack closed. I searched Yelp and came upon Shrimp By You. Since they had excellent ratings I decided to have dinner there with my daughter. We arrived during Happy Hour on Taco Tuesday. Our server was very nice and helpful answering all my questions since it was my first time there. My daughter was very happy with the Mexican food selection since she doesn't eat much seafood. I decided to build my own pot with shrimp, snow crab, sausage and corn using Cajun seasoning and going Bang Bang on the spice level. My pot was delicious, the crab and the shrimp tasted and looked extremely fresh, and the spice level was just right. We also got the fried calamari as an appetizer. The aioli dip was delicious. I am so happy I found a place to get my crab fix. There was plenty of seating and they had some great music playing. I will definitely be coming back soon! Next time I hope to try the crab rolls!

Amazing food and service. Me and my fiance came here a couple weeks ago and loved it. The waitress was super nice and the food is the most amazing part of the whole business. Best seafood boil I have been to.

Been to this place a few times in the past and every time it never seems to amaze me on how good this place is . If you are in the Torrance area and looking for some crab boil style restaurants Shrimp By You is the place to go. First off they are so nice to you the min you walk in , to when you're seated , and to when you are eating . They are always checking up on you seeing how you're doing and always willing to assist even if they are busy . The staff here is awesome always making the experience worth coming back again Next, the food . The seafood was really good , I got some peeled shrimp with snow crab legs, mussels, sausage and potatoes with garlic lemon sauce yum at every bite and with a side of refreshing strawberry lemonade my husband got the same thing but without the mussels and with Cajun seasoning and he loved his too. Lastly the place is a really cute nice restaurant. Very friendly feeling and wasn't super busy when we came in today so it was easy for them to serve us. All and all I give this place 10/10 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks Shrimp By You for amazing food and awesome experience

The good: We came after a trip to Goodwill across from them and got seated immediately because there was no one there. We got the ceviche, all 3 tacos, and half pound of shrimp with corn, sausage and potatoes with medium bang bang sauce, and a kids chicken tender meal. I got shrimp peeled because I had two kids with me and didn't have the time to eat too slowly. The waitress was excellent and friendly. I liked how they had paper table covers that you could draw on. They gave wet towelettes with the bill. There's a bucket for your waste. They have taco Tuesday specials. The chicken tenders were surprisingly the best dish I thought. They were freshly fried and reminded me of fish in fish and chips. The bad: The sauce wasn't as good as places like Boiling Crab but tasted healthier because it was thinner. It wasn't as thick and buttery as other Cajun boil spots. The ceviche was small for the price. The tacos were a little dry even though there was a hot sauce you could add. The interesting: They played Mexican music and the menu items included a lot of Mexican foods.

We tried Shrimp by you yesterday and it was delicious! We had: Bag of shrimp with heads - amazing! Got side of corn and rice Also got lobster roll - yummy And fish tacos Family owned and amazing service. Highly recommend.

We love coming to this place for a delicious, casual dinner that is low-key. The food is always spectacular and you create your own dish! So many options to choose from and they just added a few more items! The service is always great, they're eager to help you through this unique food odyssey. If you can make it for desert, you're a champ! But I've heard some of their deserts are pretty good, but I've never been able to make it to the last course! *Disclaimer* there are no food photos because we were all too excited to dive into the meal, but it's amazing! Some of our favorites are the seasons fries, garlic bread, peeled shrimp, crawfish, and so much more! First you pick what type of seafood you like, then how many pounds (1/2 pound to as many pounds as your belly can handle!), then you choose your seasoning, spice level and add-ons like red potatoes, corn, rice... you get the idea... well we hope your belly is rumbling and ready because you're about to be happy after a meal here! Overall, it's good for small dinners, family gatherings or just a good dinner!

FINALLY trying a seafood boil for the first time & Shrimp By You didn't disappoint. I've been missing out! Our group of 3 stopped by on a Monday afternoon-- totally empty and we were seated immediately. Located in a random strip mall next to Goodwill. For the boils, you select your protein(s), sauce(s), spice level, and add-ons. My bf was feeling ambitious and ordered 3 proteins in one for us to split LOL. Our orders took around 15 mins. SEAFOOD BOIL (shrimp, crawfish, clam; lemon garlic butter + mild spice + corn): The seafood flavor is amazing-- sweet, savory, and undoubtedly fresh. IMO the sauce is flavorful enough without added heat, but I'm biased towards being spice-adverse lol. The amount of actual protein after shelling is decent, adequately filling for two. I would definitely get rice with this next time to soak up more of their amazing sauce.
